Update: Everyone that ate at Moonies today has ended up sick to their stomach. :((((( Sad small business owners don't care enough to continue the quality and service that they built their business on. They tend to think that their customers will continue to come back no matter what. How untrue and naive. |

We have eaten here many times in the past. Although a little pricy, the food has been good. However, today we picked up an order to go for everyone in the office. It was awful! Everyone's hamburger tasted funny and was tough; the bun was stale; the fries were tough and stale. When I called about it, they just apologized. Granted, it was just a young high school age gal, but she obviously wasn't trained on customer service. It is apparent they have changed purveyors and cooks, the food quality is well below par. Barely edible. They just lost several loyal customers. Recommend you try a different burger place and spare yourself the disappointment. |

I'll chime in about the good burgers, at least the frito chili cheese burger. I can't get past ordering that - too good. But, I bet the others are equally good. I'll just have to expand someday. |

My friends and I ate at Moonies again. I am pleased to say that they still have the best hamburger around. The fries are super also. I ordered a hamburger that had guacamole, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The guacamole was very fresh (tasted homemade), the bacon was crispy with a smokey flavor and the veggies were all fresh. The hamburger had very good flavor and you could see all of the seasoning on the meat. The bun was very good also. I also had a side of their crispy fries which I have to agree with others are EXCELLENT. I was there for at least 30-40 minutes and my fries were crispy the entire time. Not like others that go limp after 4-5 minutes. I had a burger, fries and large soda for $7 which is very reasonable. I love a place that is consistent and serves great food and Moonies does just that." |

For the life of me, I don't understand the negative comments about Moonies. Each to their own, I guess. However, I truly don't believe the negative comments related to health standards!!! We live in Cedar Park and eat there frequently as I have to have my "Moonies fix" every couple of weeks or so. The bugers are always great and the sweet potato fries are addictive. You need to try the restaurant for yourself and make up your own mind!!

Hello everyone ...I am the owner of Moonies Burger House and we truly appreciate everyones fantastic comments about our restuarant. We also look closely at any areas of opportunity that are pointed out to us by all of our customers. I could not however let one review go by that is totally untrue- also know as a lie. We had a reviewer state that someone saw an employee spit in a hamburger in our restuarant. This would never happen in our kitchen. Our kitchen concept is open to the public view for one reason and that is so people can see how clean we keep the kitchen and feel 100% sure about our health standards. We also have a team of employees that would not tolerate behavior so disgusting. I do not know why someone would fabricate such an outlandish story (disgruntled ex-employee, competition etc.??)but please feel confidant that all you will get when you eat at Moonies is the BEST HAMBURGER and FRIES in the Cedar Park / Leander area. Again we want to thank everyone for your awesome support and thank you fortaking us into our 3rd year of operation.

I came to post a comment about Moonies and found myself reading the other comments as well. The majority have said exactly what I wanted to say. The burgers are great, cooked perfectly, and the fries and onion rings were excellent. We went on Thursday and listened to the music which was enjoyable! Moonies is by far the best burger in Austin, has excellent customer service and was clean!
I would like to comment on the person, Rondon (sp?) who has eaten there three times and hated it everytime - Sounds like a private issue - go somewhere else, get a life already. Obviously the burgers are great and people love them, get over it! Moonies is exceptional - obviously!

A group of friends ate here for the foirst time and we had the best time. They had a band playing that was terrific and the food was exceptional. This is not your ordinary hamburger. The meat was better than most and the bun put the thing over the top. With the big selection of burgers all of us were able to get a burger that was just what we liked. Everyone in the group was very impressed (8 of us)Besides the hamburger their sweet potato fries and french fries are top of the line also. |

Nobody welcomes you. The order taker/cashier is clueless about what they sell. They can not, or will not cook a burger less than "well done". I chose not to eat at a place that decides for me how my food will be cooked. I watched a friend eat his burger he'd already ordered when I arrived, and which he described as bland, tasteless, and dense. No one thanks you when you leave. Excuse me, but I work too hard for my money to have someone tell me how my food will be cooked, and doesn't appreciate your business. This place is a joke. Every burger joint from Whataburger on up will cook one to order except this place. No thanks. |

We went to Moonies on a recommendation from a co-worker who said the place was very good. We went with no real expectations, just to get a hamburger. I have to say that the burgers my wife and I had were 2 of the best we have ever eaten. I have to disagree (sorry) with one reviewer who said the bun was not an important part of the burger. I have to disagree. The bun is a huge part of any hamburger (thats what made fuddruckers famous) and this one was really good. It held up the entire time and did not fall apart like alot of the MS. Bairds buns out there. Both hamburgers had excellent flavor and were a very good size. We found the pricing to be right in line with any other "good" burger out there. Overall I would say Moonies will deliver an excellent hamburger to you at a reasonable price and I agree with most that the french fries were very good. I guess the best thing to say is we will go back and we will tell our friends about Moonies. |

Okay, I know most of the other reviews would not support my opinion that the burgers are gross, but it's true. For the life of me, I can not figure out why most people think these burgers are good. My husband and I, based on all the good reviews, tried Moonies for the third time the other night. And our opinion was the same as it was the last time we ate there several months ago. THE BURGERS ARE GROSS. I think what people are responding to are the Hawaiian-roll-style, sweet burger buns. I've never developed this love of overpoweringly sugary things myself, but it appears to be a Southern thing. Think Krispy Kreme and Dr. Pepper! Anyway, back to the burgers. There's the super sugary roll, first off. This is a problem, since you can't really taste anything else. Some people describe these burgers as juicy. But as one other reviewer pointed out, they're not, they're dry. Note: Juicy is not the same as GREASY. And trust me, these burgers are downright greasy. They drip grease everywhere. You'll
feel like you need a bath after eating one. The meat is dry and tasteless. Any Moonies lover reading this, I urge you to try something during your next visit. Take a piece of the patty and put it in your mouth with nothing else on it. You'll see what I'm talking about. Flavorless, dry, boring. The french fries, while good, are nothing out of the ordinary. They are your standard, frozen, crispy coated fry. In my opinion, all the good reviews boil down to one thing, love of the bun, not the actual burger. |

We LOVE Moonies. We generally go on Thursday evenings for the fun music. Moonies' sweet potato fries are the greatest thing since white bread! And their burgers are the best! |

I heard many good things about Moonies Burger house. I can tell you with out a doubt this is one of the best burger joints in all of texas. Its a very casual/ comfortable place that serves the best burger/ fries around. They also have a very good selection of cold beer. nothings beat a cold beer and hamburger. Every part of the meal is good. Good bun, burger and fries. Give it a try you won't be dissappointed |

I'd have to agree, the fries and buns were great.. However I found the burger to be overcooked and dry...
I had asked for "medium rare" but was told they couldn't cook their hamburgers that way but assured me it would still be juicy... It wasn't....
Also the kids up in the little fort in the back (who appeared to belong to a resturant employee or owner) were quite rude flipping my kids the bird and making faces at us while we tried to eat our dried out hamburgers...
I WON'T be back..... |

This place is no longer a secret ...more and more people are talking about it. My co-workers love this place too. I have had multiple burgers here and they were all exceptionable. Make it a point to go to Moonie's - you won't be dissappointed. The place is a mom and pop restuarant that delivers a hot burger / fries everytime!!(unlike the chains)If you don't get my point that this place is really good then you are missing out. |

Loved the relaxed atmosphere--plenty of room between the tables. As parents of 4 kids, we enjoyed the Lego play corner (and the peace it brought us!) The service was fast and friendly. Now for the food--I had a plain Jane chicken sandwich that was fantastic--very tender and the bun was yummy! My husband had the swiss mushroom burger--it was loaded. The kids all ate their meals well too--mini corndogs, frito pie, and hamburger. A great locally owned restaurant that should be able to stand the test of time--try them before you go to yet another chain restaurant. |

We have been to Moonies several times and have never been disappointed. The owners are young and friendly, the burgers are the best we have ever had and the fries are done to perfection. We would like to see some small bottles of wine sold, maybe a red and a white. We love the Texas decore there. Thanks for coming to CP. |

Food is fantastic...always hot. I live in San Antonio and stop in everytime I am in Austin. Have had 4-5 different burgers and they all were awesome. The fries are the best. Bad thing is once you start eating here everything else is average at best.

Great burgers! All elements are great quality, but the bun sets it all off. Great taste and very fresh. Only two negatives. 1) I don't mind using plastic utensils, but these could be better quality. 2) Add some variety to the live music lineup. Get some folk or fiddle or bluegrass. |

i have eaten burgers in 40 states and I have found the best at Moonies. I told the owner they have a great thing going and to keep it up. "top of the line burger". The meat, veggies and bun were all of excellent quality. You can't go wrong at this place. |

I was told by a friend to try Moonies. It is the best burger in austin without a doubt. It also is a place that welcomes my family and one I don't have to worry about feeling dirty when I come out of. The guacamole burger is unbelievable. The trip to Moonies was well worth it. I will be back |

Moonies is new, but they have the best hamburger I have ever eaten. I ate the "california burger" which had tons of guacamole, GRILLED / CRISPY bacon, lettuce and tomato. The bun was fanatastic - sort of a sweet taste to it that went great with the meat. I have eaten all over town and this was the best burger around. |
