the food is really good! i go there all the time for lunch at my high school and its always crowded! i can see why :) the price is pretty cheap, especially their hamburgers and popcorn chicken, especially when they give out their specials the space is fairly small, but no one really eats there they mostly take out on thing that bothers me is that one of the workers there is pretty rude once when it was crowded during lunch she told everyone who wasnt ordering there to get out and since it was so crowded she couldnt tell what the line was, so she started yelling at random people about whos next in line every other worker there is pleasent though happy consumer

This is a GREAT PLACE to EAT! The food is very good and the service is awesome. The place is always clean and the price is right! They also have better wings than WINGS STOP. Rod

Awesome place! The katsu is fantastic, so is the pork and cabbage. Very friendly service too. By far the best Hawaiian food in Alameda, and I lived in Hawaii for years so have some experience. Tim

Of the 3 Hawaiian restaurants in town this place tops the list. Good variety and excellent loco-moco, katso and garlic shrimp! Parking is a little tough but is definitly worth the trouble. Being down the street from the hi-school, I tend to stay away during the schools lunch hour. I had them cater an event for me this fall, an end of summer gathering for 20 and had more than enough steaming hot food that everybody complimented on. Casual Diner

What a great little place! The food was yummy, the service great, and the atmosphere friendly. I had just been to another Hawaiian BBQ place the week before and was not impressed. This place has changed my mind. valide

Incredibly cheap, incredibly tasty and satisfying! We get the mini-meals (which are actually quite substantial) and feed two for dinner for about $12. This is my new favorite place to eat on the island, too! Don't miss the pork dishes or the spam masubi (trust me). And the service is friendly, fast, and attentive. Love this place! k & m

Many of the same items and flavors as its competitors, with even more enormous portions, for slightly less money. The chicken katsu was crisp and greaseless,a huge portion, the kahlua pork nicely braised, plentiful with tasty cabbage, very fresh tasting and flavorful, not mushy and overcooked. The macaroni salad not quite as rich as the competitors, which is fine with me. The plain white rice was fluffy, not gummy. Very clean, bright place, with two TV's, staff efficient and friendly. If you're in the mood for a lot of fresh, filling comfort food at a bargain price, Hawaiian Drive-Inn is the place. Another big advantage over their competitors- they take plastic. Nice. bulk bogan
