I love this place! I just moved to NJ @ 8 months ago. The food is always consistently great! Large portions (always have left overs). I have brought a couple of friends there and they agree the food is wonderful. The staff are always attentive and friendly. |

In response to jill scherz, Roger Bates, JimBob, Lee Billings.
I'm the manager of Bazzarelli's. This is my fathers restaurant. He opened up in 1971, this September it will be our 40 year anniversary. In 40 years I don't believe my father has ever heard so many negative reviews. Owning a restaurant, let alone a small Mom and Pop is challenging. Not only do you have to keep up with the "Jones" but you have to try to stay true to what you originally set out to be. My dad wanted to create a great family restaurant with amazing food at low prices and friendly service. I do believe we have succeeded, unfortunately mistakes do happen.
Jill Scherz - I actually do remember the specifics of the day you were in. Your waiter did come to me immediately and told me about your complaint. He told me that he did explain and apologized for the smell. Because of your complaint, which was taken very seriously, we have changed our formula and our system when cleaning the tables. I apologize that we did not make you feel appreciated and would like to extend an invitation to you to come back in, please make sure you email me or call me before hand to verify that this it is you, I do recall specifics about your dinner and would rather confirm it then accept anyone claiming they are you.
Roger Bates - Unfortunately I was not aware of this situation until I read it here. Having arguments with customers is unacceptable! I have spoken with my staff about this matter. I’m truly sorry. I’m very happy that you did enjoy our food. We take pride in our cooking. I would love to extend an invitation to you as well.
Jimbob - I don’t believe that you actually ate here. The difference between your review and the others is that yours is vulgar and rude. The others were specific and classy. I honestly don’t believe you would ever enjoy human food considering you crave horse feces and vomit.
Lee Billings - I apologize for the my staff’s poor service and your disappointment with our food. We do try to keep our portions large and prices low. As for the owner, I’m not sure if your talking about my grandpa who sits at the bar or my dad. My grandfather is 84, retired, he sits at the bar and reads his Italian newspaper, watches the TV or naps. He doesn’t speak much English so if you tried to have a conversation with him he probably just smiled and nodded. He’s actually a very polite and extremely grateful man who loves the restaurant and all the customers (reason why at 84 he still insists on coming in). As for my dad around the time of your post he had a torn meniscus in his knee and hasn’t smiled since he went for rehab. He’s been in extreme pain. I’m sorry you caught him on “off” day but if you did come back in and spoke with him you would realize how grateful he is. One thing my dad says to me always is “people don’t have to come here, they choose to and that is an honor”. Mr. Billings if

Do not eat at this place. The service is extremely poor. The food is okay for the price. The owner is grumpy and ungrateful. |

Really bad service. The watress brought us the wrong food and then had the nerve to argue with us that we had ordered incorrectly. When we got our food she never came back to check on us again. Thr food was really good, when we finally got what we ordered. |

This was our first time at this restaurant. We were hoping it was good. But we were eating our dinner when the busboy sprays windex to clean a table near us. We were the only people eating at the time. He could have waited. The chemical smell wafted over us and the food. We felt sick. We let the waiter know and he ignored it. We go out often and frequent restaurants in the area. We buy a bottle of wine, have appetizers etc. we are not stingy. After this we will never visit this restaurant again and we will tell our friends too. They need to change there ways and realize every customer is important! It is Bazzarelli's loss..... |
