Liked the old set-up & food much better. Average offerings, moderate prices bu not too good sushi, which I would avoid. |

Very good Japanese dishes, udon and the specialty rolls were our favorite. They even have authentic Japanese soda for the kids. Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup is outstanding as well. You can't find it anywhere else in the area. |

First of all, I cannot believe that the Japanese are involved with this place at all. The "sushi" ain't and Chinese is spoken throughout. While the Chinese offerings are decent offering Japanese specialities is a bad mistake. There are many REAL Japanese locations throughout the area. Not here. |

Newly reopened as of July 7, 2011, Blue Ginger is under new ownership and the changes are already apparent. The decor has been updated and the restaurant has that "new restaurant" smell to it. New dishes have been added as well as many new faces in the dining area. I sat for sushi and word must have gotten out, because on the opening night there was already a large crowd. I ordered a Dragon Roll and Spicy Tuna roll, with octopus sashimi and the meal came with Miso soup. Perfection!!! I am very happy to have this little hip restaurant back. The owners, happy to see me, even gave me dessert on the house. One thing is for sure I will be back in a big way. I wanted to try the cold Thai noodles in peanut sauce but I was too stuffed. Maybe tomorrow. |
